Ita O'Donovan–Curtis PhD

Practitioner - academic, combines experience of public service as CEO of large municipal local governments in the UK, with the interest and excitement of consultancy in countries around the globe, and chances of in-depth exploration of public service issues in academe.

Ita worked for sixteen years as a consultant academic in the public sector in the UK and overseas. As an Organisational Psychologist she specialised in public sector reform at home and abroad, working with local, regional and national governments on individual, group and organisational change and performance improvement. Her Local Government experience spans 14 years, two as Management Development Advisor, three as Assistant Chief Executive, one as Deputy Managing Director and eight as Chief Executive. She is now an Independent Consultant managing a portfolio of projects abroad and in UK which includes structural review, integrated planning, mentoring, appraisal and coaching assignments.
